Peter Kispert
Peter Kispert is the author of the debut story collection I Know You Know Who I Am (Penguin Books, February 2020), an Elle Magazine Best Book of the Year and O, The Oprah Magazine Best LGBT Book of the Year. The collection has been featured on NPR’s All Things Considered and in the New York Times, among other outlets. His fiction and nonfiction has appeared or is forthcoming in OUT magazine, GQ, Esquire, them, Playboy, Electric Literature‘s Recommended Reading, The Carolina Quarterly, Poets & Writers, and elsewhere. Until recently, Peter worked as a book editor at HarperCollins Publishers, acquiring, developing, assisting on, and editing New York Times bestselling nonfiction.
He is currently an assistant professor teaching fiction in the MFA program at the University of Central Florida, where he serves as the editor and director of the Florida Review.
