Pamela Baker

Pamela Baker’s stories and essays have appeared in many journals, including Reed Magazine, The Southeast Review, Sycamore Review, Cream City Review, The Journal, Bayou Magazine, and New South, as well as the anthology, I Wasn’t Strong Like This When I Started Out, edited by Lee Gutkind. She holds an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from the University of Central Florida in Orlando. Her short story, “The Other Land” was published in Sycamore Review, Issue 30.1, and can be read here.

Baker grew up in Maine’s Mid-Coast region. She currently teaches writing and rhetoric at the University of Central Florida. She is a UCF composition faculty member and a current member of the Stylus Faculty Advisory Board. She coaches an Odyssey of the Mind team, works as a nurse, and looks forward to winters.
