Noor Imaan

Noor Imaan’s writing has appeared and is forthcoming in Cagibi, Breakwater Review, Missouri Review, Boston Review, Indiana Review and elsewhere. She studied fiction at Boston University, where she won the Florence Engel Randall Graduate Award and received a Leslie Epstein Global Fellowship.

Her story, “The Neighbors,” was selected as the winner of Boston Review’s 2019 Aura Estrada contest by Alexander Chee. More recently, her story, “Moonspotting,” won Breakwater Review’s fiction contest, judged by Ron Currie. Her stories have been nominated for the PEN/Robert J. Dau Award and the Best of the Net anthology. She was shortlisted for the Granum Foundation Prize and was supported by an emerging artist grant from the St. Botolph Foundation. She received a special mention in the Pushcart Prizes for her story, “Gifted.”

She lives and teaches in New England and is currently working on a novel.
